Charity Awareness day 2013
Supporting local charities and organisations!! By providing one large event and bringing them together. We hope that the day raises £20,000 for local charities and organisations.
Join us on our journey to get Jenson to America for life changing surgery.
Jenson is 5 and has cerebral palsy - spastic hemiplegia. We desperately want him to have surgery in America, it is not currently offered to children with Hemiplegia in the UK. In order to send him to America to undergo this life changing surgery we need to raise in excess of £50,000 so every donation no matter how small would make a world of difference. Please give what you can. This surgery ( Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy ) would remove all the spasticity in Jenson's right leg and enable him to walk without the need of ever having to wear leg splints/have botox injections or endure intensive physiotherapy for the rest of his life. Everyday is a struggle and we want more than anything to make Jenson's life easier. Please visit our fundrazr https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/aMsq9

In Feb 2011 Angie Wheeler was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, being stage 3 (Very serious). Angela is 48 She is a mother of 7 with 3 of them young children, like most people she hasn't had the easiest of life's, She has been a pub manager / Landlady for over 20 years, Whilst having many other medicals problems she always got on the best she can, But she became to ill and exhausted from treatments, to carry on fulfilling her career. Since then she done an amazing job fighting the disease although many other medical complications arised including damaged nerves from the treatment she was receiving but this strong willed lady fought and went into remission in Aug 2011, Being re admitted into hospital in Dec 2011 meant tests were done over the next few months and sadly in Feb 2012 she was given the bad news that the cancer had returned and it was terminal, the doctors explained that they can only prolong the cancer growth using chemotherapy, and gave her an estimate of 1 & ½ years of life. This news was devastating but she is determined to make the most of her time left with her children.
Angie Wheeler Sadly gave up her fight to cancer in 2012 R.I.P!!
A day for Declan!!
We are doing our up most to try and help him and his family. Due to Declan being diagnosed with leukaemia and being in and out of hospital, the building works that had been started in their family home have come to a stand still. Simple things that have no effect on us such as dust or a cold can be life threatening for little Declan. So while Declan is under going intensive chemotherapy and is in hospital, We are determined to pull the community together and help this family finish their home so Declan can return and the family will be able to concentrate on their son getting better!
£20,000Thank you to Prince Build who help transform Declans home!! Declan and his family now have a newly renovated home with new kitchen and low level access bathroom thanks to a fantastic company called prince build!! We are so proud that we can say we have given this family a new lease of life and we wish him a full recovery!!!
